The hall at St Mary’s Church in Bearwood is remembered as a lively place for dances, youth clubs, and music. However, a couple of years ago the Church found the bills were too high to keep the space running, and it has since lain empty. The Church were even questioning whether to demolish the hall.  We were approached to find another solution.

We undertook an options study to explore the potential of the space, and we reached out to the Bearwood community. We unearthed fond memories of the hall, and discovered a rich network of Bearwood social enterprises and grassroots organisations that want to bring the hall to life again.

I've got lots of memories of this place - I've been part of the church all my life... We had some fantastic shows on that stage.
